We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our brand-new café come wine bar in a brand new independent lifestyle store, located in the heart of South Liverpool on the world-famous Penny Lane.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something fresh and creative from the very beginning. Our store brings together food, community, and lifestyle retail in a vibrant and welcoming space — and breakfast is at the heart of what we do.

The Role

As our Breakfast Chef, you will:

• Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes using fresh ingredients
• Support the development of seasonal and creative breakfast menus
• Ensure food is presented to a consistently high standard
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Manage stock, reduce waste, and support ordering where required
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an excellent customer experience

This role requires early starts, so reliability and punctuality are essential.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a breakfast chef or similar kitchen role
• Confidence working with fresh food and high-quality ingredients
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and environmental health standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and team-player mindset
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Chef – Small Plates & Wine Concept

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Chef to join our brand-new independent lifestyle store in the heart of South Liverpool, located on the world-famous Penny Lane.

Our concept blends retail, lifestyle, and food in a relaxed, design-led space — with a carefully curated food offering centred around small plates designed to accompany wine. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and influence a fresh and evolving menu from the very beginning.

 The Role

As our Chef, you will:

• Create and deliver a small, high-quality menu of small plates
• Design and produce a rotating selection of weekly specials
• Develop dishes specifically crafted to complement wine
• Work confidently with fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Maintain excellent presentation and consistency
• Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and environmental health standards
• Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

This role offers creative input and autonomy within a supportive and ambitious independent business.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Chef in a fresh food environment
• Passion for food, creativity, and flavour pairing (especially with wine)
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and environmental health regulations
• Ability to manage prep, service, and stock effectively
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
